Accessibility statement

We aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA on this website. Here is where we stand and how to tell us about a barrier.

Our commitment

Everyone should be able to learn about manageQ and contact us, whatever device, settings or assistive technology they use. Our target for this website is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we have done

  • Every page has one main heading, landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer) and a "Skip to content" link.
  • Everything works with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus ring that the sticky header and the bottom bar do not cover.
  • Text and links meet the AA contrast ratios; links in running text are underlined.
  • Status is never shown by colour alone: there is always an icon and a word as well.
  • Pages are built to reflow to a 320-pixel-wide screen and to stay usable with text enlarged to 200 %.
  • Moving parts stop when your device asks for reduced motion, and anything that moves for longer than five seconds can be paused.
  • The site respects Windows high-contrast (forced colours) mode.
  • The contact form has visible labels, says which fields are required, lists any problems at the top with links to them, keeps your answers if sending fails, and has no time limit and no CAPTCHA.
  • Menus, tabs and question lists use standard HTML controls, and every page works without JavaScript.
  • Language names in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Arabic and Russian are marked with their language, so screen readers pronounce them correctly; Arabic is marked right to left.
  • Images that carry information have text alternatives; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.

How we check

  • Every build is checked automatically for one main heading per page, text alternatives on images, page titles, page language and links that lead nowhere.
  • The site is built with plain HTML and CSS, with very little JavaScript, so assistive technology meets standard controls throughout.

Known limits

  • The brochure is a tagged PDF with a title, language and headings, but its layout is made for print. The same information is on these web pages, and we can send it in another format on request.
  • Product screenshots are pictures of the manageQ application. They have short text alternatives, and the same information is in the text around them.
  • This statement covers this website only, not the manageQ application that organisations use to run their queues. Ask us if you need information about the application.

Tell us about a barrier

If something on this website is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us. Say which page it was, what you were trying to do, and, if you can, the device, browser and any assistive technology you use. We will reply, and we can send the information you need in another format.
