Hospitals & clinics

Queue management system for hospitals and clinics

Patients wait anywhere, displays call token numbers instead of names, and one token number follows the patient from billing to the lab.

Starts from the ready-made Healthcare service set. Every name, rule and screen stays yours to change.

What gets in the way

What slows hospitals down

Crowded OPD halls, many rooms and steps, and patients who should never hear their names called out.

  • Crowded OPD halls

Patients and families crowd the hall because nobody can tell how long the wait will be.

  • Many rooms, many steps

Billing, consultation, sample collection and reports are separate queues, and patients lose their place between them.

  • Names called out in public

Calling patients by name across a waiting hall shares more than it should.

How manageQ fits

Built around how hospitals work

A ready-made Healthcare set

OPD consultations by speciality, diagnostics, health check-ups, pharmacy and billing, with ticket prefixes and a patient registration form.

Token numbers, never names

Displays call token numbers. The Hospital layout lists the next tokens and uses “Room” wording; voice calls in the hall’s language.

Priority that stays fair

Emergency, Person with disability and Senior citizen groups in three levels, with a fairness rule so normal tokens keep moving.

One token, every step

Staff transfer the patient from billing to consultation to sample collection, and the token keeps its number.

Appointments and walk-ins together

Patients with an appointment in your system check in on arrival and are placed by their slot; walk-ins queue as usual.

Patient details, then deleted

Names, mobiles and form answers are encrypted, deleted after service or at day end, and kept off displays and dashboards.

The visit

A patient’s visit, step by step

The same token number from the reception kiosk to the lab, and a phone that tells the patient when to come back to the hall.

  1. Kiosk, phone QR or reception

    Step 1: Check in

First visit or follow-up, the speciality and a short patient form. Patients with an appointment enter their booking reference.

  2. Billing & Insurance desk

    Step 2: Billing

OP billing calls the token. Then staff transfer it to the consultation queue; the number stays the same.

  3. Room 3

    Step 3: Consultation

The display chimes and announces the token; the patient’s phone shows “Please go to Room 3”.

  4. Diagnostics · Laboratory

    Step 4: Sample collection

Transferred to the lab queue with the same token number: no second ticket, no new line at the back.

  5. Phone or feedback kiosk

    Step 5: After the visit

Details are deleted after service. If feedback is on, the patient rates the visit with 1–5 stars.

Missed the call? The display lists the token as missed, and the patient can come back within the window your queue rules set.

Questions

Questions we hear from hospitals

Can the display avoid showing patient names?

Yes. Displays call token numbers, not names. The Hospital layout shows token numbers only, lists the next tokens and uses “Room” wording. Patient details never appear on displays or dashboards.

Can a patient keep one token from billing to the lab?

Yes. Staff transfer the token to the next service or counter, for example from billing to sample collection, and it keeps its number. Every step is recorded on the token’s timeline.

Which languages can the voice announcements use?

Customer screens and voice announcements are available in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Arabic and Russian. Voice uses the voices installed on the display PC, so install the Hindi, Telugu or Tamil voice there first. The admin console is in English.

Does it work with our hospital’s appointment system?

Bookings stay in your own system. manageQ brings them in by API, by a push from your system or by CSV or Excel import, and patients check in on arrival at the kiosk, with the branch QR code or at the reception. See Integrations.
